Rutherford County GMRS weather net will always be active during severe weather. When a watch is issued we will be in standby mode. When a warning is issued we will go into full activation until a conclusion is announced. 

Reporting Criteria 

What, When and Where! Use your valid GMRS callsign and nearest CROSS-ROADS or MILE MARKER! 

No Blue Sky Reports!

• TORNADO 

• FUNNEL CLOUD, If organized, persistent, or sustained rotation 

• HAIL, quarter size (1”) or greater, report the largest size

• WIND GUSTS, 50 mph or greater, (measurement device)

• FLOODING, flooding (roads, homes, or businesses)

STORM DAMAGE:

Damage to structures (roof, siding, windows, etc.)

• Damage to vehicles (farm equipment, machinery) (hail or wind)

• Trees or large limbs down

• Power/telephone poles or lines down
